This week in cram we did another analysis of our blogs and general research programmes and other things from the previous week which was leading onto the research programme and we had a chance to improve on our blogs and also add some finishing touches to them from last week.
We then got our BRIEF.
Our brief was to design a A5 leaflet for the cafe called 'The orange tree cafe'. Because the cafe has a a new management from the old cafe it was before, which was 'cafe 11' and known as more of a cheap grease spoon, and that there is a new atmoshpere and feeling to the cafe! That tis a brand new cafe! We also got some tips and ideas on what we could write on the A5 leaflet/flyer and perhaps what details we need to write on it.
We then got a chance to go visit the cafe and see what the atsmoshpere and mood is like in it.
This was good because when you visit the cafe yourself you can really interprette your view of the cafe and the more persona ll the evaluation on the leaflet and the more emotion you put into the leaflet the more persuading and grasping it will be!
I enjoyed visiting the cafe because the atmoshpere was really good. It was easy getting to grips with the brief and putting your point of view forward when we got into our group's and sharing our different ideas and tips.
Also the brief is very fun and enjoyable and writing so it's more easy to concentrate on the work.
We then wrote our briefs on Microsoft word and printed them off.
I am looking forward to the group work and the hard working effort for this brief and the over all result of our flayers/products. Also improving on our food photography and getting to grips with the background and type of photography Involved in this.
If i could improvee on one thing it would be to be more organised with what I'm going to plan and do during this brief.
Looking forward to working next week!

Cram- week 3
Me and my group worked well because we interacted with each other and communicated well and helped each other,i felt like I was playing a lead role because i was doing the drawing and giving ideas and feed backs which would help our grope with the final presentation. Also my team members were very good in helping and working as a team.
At the last part of the lesson we looked at branding and how coca cola gets it big name and its logo and slogans like the McDonald's slogan.
Aside from this i worked on my Research report which i had to do and this was about a research project and you have write about the different raising awareness programmes such as FRANK, Cancer research and you have to write about how they help raise the awareness and why. One of my examples was
Cancer research because it is such a global issue and we need help each other raise the awareness and help beat cancer and so i wrote about this and how it effects us and the target audience etc. I could of have improved on this by possibly expanding my explanations and perhaps stating and debating the different issues! I had to work on my own while other people were in groups and selling a branding products, i was not in this because i was not here last week.
However this was also a good chance to expand on my blog and improve on it!
We shared ideas on this and got to grips with the advertising area of the markets and the prices.
After we were then put into groups to sell this dog food and we had to make 3 different logos and we worked in groups of 3-4.
Over all it was a fun and interactive lesson working with others!

Cram- week 2
This week in cram, i enjoyed the most!
Not only we got shown how professional photographs work on developing their films but also we really worked on our camera skills and photography skills!
However unfortunately i had to leave for the second part of the lesson because i had to attend my GCSE drama course at the junction.
However for the first part of my lesson was enjoyable because we got to develop our films, this was on the cameras which we had taken photos in groups before, We had to use black bags instead of the dark room because it was much easier!
We got told on how to use the black bags and had to use our hands to guess were everything was. A black bag is when there are only to wholes for you hands which go in and you have to feel your way through, you put in your film and you put in your films and some scissors ,which you will need to use when you r are cutting the film, and you had to take the film out of its case cut the unnecessary bits of , which is why you need the scissors, and put the films in the developing box.All this had to be done in the black bag because even if a speck of light was hit on the films it would totally ruin our films which would ruin our photos so you had to do this with precision and focus. In the bag you will need : film reel, film container, and scissors for cutting the film from the film spool.I did this successfully then handed it over to my partner to develop the film and use the guide sheet which showed us the different steps in developing our films.
step 1- Prepare the chemicals which you need.
step 2- Be sure that the temperature of the chemicals is the same as the water your are pouring in the container, you can do this by using the and cold water and getting it into room temperature (28 degrees roughly) and you can use a thermometer for this.
step3- Start a timer so that you can me as accurate as possible for the best results
step 4-Put the chemicals in and every minute give the chemicals and film a little shake and a tap, do this for 7 Min's.
step5- Once you have done this rinse out the film and add some fix and keep on rinsing till all the chemicals are out.

| Things you need ot develop a film. |
final step- take your film out and you should be able to see the negatives of your film, however some of our exposures were to much and so some of our negatives were either to white or to dark.
We then hanged them up to dry, after that working in the same pairs we chose on object and our object was a clock went around parkside school and took different pictures with the clock being somewhere in the pictures, sometimes in was in the background sometimes we had things leading up to the clock for instance a white parking line.
We then went back and uploaded the pictures onto the laptop and saved and deleted the ones we wanted/or didn't need.
We could of have improved on our lighting and leading on lines and perhaps our rule of 3rds, however in the end we developed our films by working together and took some fantastic pictures!
Looking forward to next lesson!
Cram-week 1
This week in Cram was a very interesting and fun week!
As i group i was working with Chloe and we took pictures the week before which was the first week into the proper CRAM course!
We had a chance this week to review and edit our short introduction films of ourselves that we made in our groups. We used the film editing software and used the dynamics of our voices to turn our film into a funny film, but adding music in the background to fit the video it gave it a more humorous affect to our video. In the end we were successful in making our film and editing it , because we worked as a group and gave different opinions on things and had a go at editing in turns and out jobs of editing were equally divided. If we could change one thing i think it would be that maybe add another layer of sound or add more visual affects to our video.
We also for the second part of the lesson took the pictures on cameras which had films on them, and we had a tutorial on how we have to use them and how film cameras work. By carefully looking at our background and using the different photography techniques, one of them is the rule of thirds which consists of looking at the background and the object being on the left side or right side of the shot and either being on the top/bottom left or top/bottom right, and we went around the school seeing how we could use the stairs and make them look more interesting than they are! If we could change one thing i think it would be to be more aware of our time deadline and to use the white balance to make our photos , perhaps, more effective to the eye.
After that we had a chance to improve on our videos again and really reviewing and improving on what we have done.
Some of our transitions were not as smooth so we could of have improved on this and also using titles and credits to perhaps make our films more professional.
At the end of the lesson i had learnt how to take good and effective photos and thinking about the lighting and the exposure and how the end result would look like but also thinking of the white balance in general. Another thing i learnt was how to edit and shorten bits of my videos that we had taken the previous week which was interesting because it shows how much it adds effect to the video just by adding some music and shortening bits of the video and replying them.
In general it was a fun lesson and i got alot out of it!

| This is another photography technique about the rule of thirds it shows the flower is,more or less, on the bottem right of the picture which looks better to the eye and is a moire effective photo. |
